...in the probably most idyllic mountain village
Discover Austria's iconic alpine hotels.
Welcome to...
...Austrian alpine lifestyle.
From our “Royal” Family. Well… not quite.
Unlike the Royal Family, we’re very much down to earth. You’ll find us chatting with guests, sharing our favourite mountain spots, celebrating local traditions and making everyone feel right at home.
Yes, we talk about the weather too. We might prefer an Afternoon Jause to afternoon tea, and you’ll often find us gathering in our cosy Stuben – the Austrian equivalent of a great local pub – serving everything from local Austrian beers to carefully selected international favourites, including IPAs.
And no, we don’t spend all day yodelling in traditional dress. Instead, we’re rather fond of thoughtful design, great food, lively conversations and creating unforgettable experiences for guests of every generation…. although after a couple of beers, you just might hear someone give it a try.
In Maria Alm, it’s not just about the mountains. It’s about the atmosphere. The lively village square, life’s little moments, being close to nature, and that wonderful feeling of belonging. Here, Alpine life is still authentic and that’s exactly what makes it so special.
At the heart of it all is The Eder Collection: three distinctive hotels, each with its own character, created for every generation seeking thoughtful design, relaxed luxury and experiences with genuine personality.
Three hotels. Three personalities. One shared passion for design, quality and the art of enjoying life.
An adults-only hideaway with a rooftop pool overlooking the Alps. A lifestyle hotel in the heart of Maria Alm, where there’s always something happening. And a family hotel where both children and adults can enjoy their holiday, each in their own way.
Different experiences, one shared philosophy: Genuine hospitality, laid back Alpine lifestyle and people who love bringing people together.
There are plenty of direct flights to Salzburg. Connections are offered by British Airways, Ryanair and other airlines from various cities across the UK.
From Salzburg Airport, it’s just a 1h drive to our lovely Maria Alm. Hire a car and enjoy a scenic journey through the Austrian Alps before arriving at your mountain getaway.
We also work with a trusted private shuttle service from Salzburg Airport. Enjoy a comfortable transfer directly to Maria Alm. The fare is €75 per person, each way (min. 2 pers.).
London – Belfast – Birmingham – Bristol – Edinburgh – Leeds – Liverpool – Manchester
A day in Maria Alm?
…isn’t shaped by scones. It’s all about warm apple strudel, fluffy Kaiserschmarrn and plenty of other Austrian treats.
And tea time? We call it Afternoon Jause. Think of it as the Austrian answer to afternoon tea, except you’ll find everything from homemade cakes and pastries to hearty local specialities. Sweet, savoury or a little bit of both… whatever you’re in the mood for.
When we’re not enjoying great food, you’ll usually find us out in the mountains. Hiking, biking, skiing or simply taking in the Alpine scenery. And while Wimbledon may be Britain’s summer tradition, ours is our legendary pickleball tournaments … a little more relaxed, just as competitive and always great fun.
As the sun goes down, it’s time to head to our cosy Stuben – the Austrian answer to your favourite local pub. Pull up a chair, enjoy a carefully curated selection of local Austrian beers alongside international favourites, including IPAs. It’s where stories from the day’s adventures are shared, friendships are made and every evening feels like you’ve found your local.
When it’s finally time to slow down, our saunas, indoor and outdoor pools, and soothing spa treatments are waiting to help you unwind. And if, after a couple of pints, you happen to hear the occasional yodel… well, that’s just part of the Alpine charm.
Make your stay truly iconic with experiences you'll remember long after you've left Maria Alm.
Top it up with our Magic Moments:
- Alpaca Walks
- Guided Herb Walks & Forest Bathing
- Beer Tasting
- Legendary Pickleball Tournaments (not quite Wimbledon, but just as much fun)
- Private Hiking & Ski Guides
Your guide to alpine lifestyle.
Spoiler: Absolutely. While the mountains look rather dramatic in the rain, you’ll find heated indoor and outdoor pools, a relaxing spa, beer tastings, pub quizzes, karaoke nights and a cosy Stuben…the Austrian answer to your favourite local pub. The beer is cold, the conversation flows, and the only thing you’ll have to worry about is whether to order another IPA. Besides, a little Alpine rain never hurt anyone.
Getting here is easier than you might think. Enjoy direct flights from London, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester to Salzburg. From there, simply choose between a rental car or our private shuttle service (€75 per person each way, minimum 2 guests) and you’ll be in Maria Alm in around an hour.
We love the Lake District. We just happen to have slightly bigger mountains, more ski slopes and a few more mountain huts serving Kaiserschmarrn.
Adults-only rooftop hideaway? Vibrant lifestyle hotel? Family escape? Luckily, choosing your favourite is the hardest decision you’ll have to make and they all share the same love for design, hospitality and unforgettable experiences.
Occasionally. Usually for fun, not as a means of communication. The rest of the time you’ll find us enjoying great food, good company and modern Alpine living. But after a couple of beers… we can’t promise you won’t hear the occasional yodel.
Not at all. Our experienced hiking and ski guides know every hidden trail, scenic viewpoint and cosy mountain hut worth discovering.
Think less “kids everywhere” and more holidays where everyone gets exactly what they need. Spacious creative family rooms, indoor and outdoor adventures, pools, children’s programmes and plenty of time for parents to relax as well. Happy children. Happy grown-ups. Everyone wins.
